It’s All About Blood Flow – By Olympian Jeff Galloway

Our circulation system is a very efficient yet complex series of tubes that brings life-giving blood to every part of our body, 24/7. One system brings nutrients and oxygen to the muscles for rebuilding, repair, energy and continual use. Another system returns blood that has been depleted of nutrients and oxygen back to the heart, lungs and digestive system for an infusion. These processes are going on right now, inside of you.

Gentle exercise (no huffing and puffing) for at least 30 minutes a day does an adequate job of increasing blood flow to the key areas: legs, trunk, head, back. But due to a variety of factors, including overuse, damage, diet and stress, the quantity needed in a few areas can be inadequate. When blood flow is restricted due to stress or damage, the muscle, leg, foot, etc. doesn’t work as well as it usually does. Top athletes notice this more than others because they need to push themselves to the limits in workouts and competition, every day or two.

Athletes and their trainers know that there will be aches and pains produced by exercise. If these areas are massaged, blood flow can increase, moving the damaged cells out, as circulation of enriched blood is increased: rebuilding can occur. When I was training at the world class level, I found that most of the sore spots could be restored to top capacity after one massage session.

Today, I’m like most recreational exercisers. There are fewer exercise aches and pains because I’m not pushing myself to the limits. But I’m also getting older and every week there are a few. The Human Touch massage chair almost always brings these around.

Once the area is massaged, in as little as 5 minutes, the increased blood flow brings vitality, recovery and a rebound to the spirit. A physical rebound often inspires a psychological rebound.

Next month: how massage can increase blood flow to areas blocked by stress.

Note: Over a million exercisers have attended Jeff Galloway clinics, running schools, wonderful retreats, training programs or read his books. To subscribe to his free newsletter and/or blog, visit www.JeffGalloway.com

Jeff Galloway is a member of the Human Touch Wellness Council and enjoys relaxing and rejuvenating in Human Touch massage chairs.

Stylish iJoy®-2580 and iJoy®-2310 Robotic Massage® Chairs
Offer Many Advanced Features Found in Significantly More Expensive Massage Chairs

Long Beach, CA – (FEB. 10, 2009) – Human Touch, the U.S. market leader of innovative lifestyle products, today introduced the next generation of its popular line of Robotic Massage® chairs – the iJoy-2580 and iJoy-2310. Both chairs are engineered with many of the same advanced massage features found in significantly more expensive massage chairs, and are designed with contemporary styles and color choices to accent today’s modern décors.

iJoy-2310 Robotic Massage Chair

The iJoy-2580 and iJoy-2310 incorporate Human Touch’s exclusive technology, including its patented Robotic Massage® Technology that emulates the rolling, kneading, compression and percussion techniques used by professional massage therapists. Users can choose from three auto-massage programs or customize a massage using a built-in control panel that puts each chair’s features at the users’ fingertips.

The iJoy-2580 massage chair offers an abundance of therapeutic, convenience and aesthetic features. With the push of a button, users can recline to a 170-degree angle, increasing massage intensity the further they recline. Luxurious upholstery comes in two new designer colors – espresso and black – and amenities like an integrated cup holder and built-in power for reading lamps or laptops make this chair the perfect addition to any home or office.

Offering nearly all the same features as the iJoy-2580, the iJoy-2310 massage chair replaces the power-recline with a manual system that reclines to 160 degrees. The iJoy-2310 offers a unique stylish design with contrasting upholstery in Performance PU and SofSuede®. Two classic colors of black and espresso are available.

Frequent massage energizes the body and mind

The holidays are over. Those killer mall sales are over. Your New Year’s resolution is probably over. Yep, old man winter is here, he’s got his favorite sweats on, and he’s not getting off the couch for a good long while.

But just because the weather stinks, doesn’t mean your health regimen has to. Human Touch massage chairs help you stay in shape right in the comfort of home.

First off, therapeutic massage from high-end massage chairs eases tensions and soothes those sore muscles you get from sitting in traffic or shoveling the driveway.

Frequent massage also increases circulation so your body can pump more oxygen and nutrients to tissues and vital organs, making the body feel more refreshed and providing an overall sense of wellness.

Massages in Human Touch chairs also prompt the body to release endorphins, the body’s natural painkiller, easing sore, tired muscles. And massage stimulates the lymph system – the body’s natural defense against toxic invaders – to help avoid all those cold-weather creepy crawlies that make you sick.

So don’t let winter turn you into a couch potato. Instead, grab a seat in a Human Touch massage chair, hit the “on” button and keep your body and mind humming strong.
