My experience at the Costco Roadshow was very informative & refreshing!
When I arrived at Costco, I was given a sign in sheet and told to proceed to the floor and look for the Human Touch logo. As I was walking around Costco looking for the Human Touch logo, I noticed friendly faces with smiles from the Costco employees. Immediately, I got a sense of ease and welcome that this wouldn’t be a place of frigid cold customer service.
I found our set up and was happy to help the sales reps (Mario & Luis) with getting the rest of the displays and chairs up & running. Once the displays were set up in the store “WOW, what an amazing set up!” I thought to myself. I couldn’t help but think though, maybe I was being bias, because I was an employee.
I asked the customer if they’d ever tried our chairs before or even seen a massage chair. They stated they had seen some at a car wash or in the mall but never quite like ours! I was happy to tell the customer about how we are the leading manufacturer of the massage chair industry and that we continue to research our consumer’s needs pertaining to the innovation of our chairs. After having a dialogue for the duration of the massage the customer was getting…I came to realize that outside of the corporate world I work in, I actually was able to see for myself how much we are helping people achieve stress relief.
It was refreshing to see the customer’s excitement and happy faces as they got in our chairs and took a break from shopping. It made me feel proud of the product we sell, as if to say “…Human Touch…where a touch of relaxation is just a chair away”.
I’d do it again if I could experience the joy I got from that one satisfied customer.
