When I was a little kid, if I had a bad stomach ache, I would lie on my mother’s lap while she rubbed her hand around my stomach. The warmth from her hand would spread deep throughout my whole body and eventually I would fall asleep.

  • LI4 (Hegu) is located on the top of the hand, in the web between your thumb and index finger.
  • Anatomical location: on the dorsum of the hand, between the first and second metacarpal bones, approximately in the middle of the second metacarpal bone on the radial side.

These are two of the most popular acupuncture points for many symptoms, including head ache, nasal congestion, toothache, sore throat, menstrual pain, delayed labors, and stomach pain.

Press and hold 3-5 seconds and release. Repeat for 10-15 minutes.
